Out Of Service

I know Ive been out of service for a while but Ive been really busy with work and college and my so called social life.

This is the first day in over 2 weeks, that I finally sat down and chilled out at home. And thats only because I had to come back home early today to pack.

Im going to Dubai in the morning.

MD and ArabLady, I will definitely be contacting you guys. But just in case I forget, please contact me. Im gonna be there by about lunch time. Youve got my number.

An Itch I Cant Scratch

There is an itch Ive got that I just cant scratch for at least another 3 or 4 weeks. I havent been on a plane (or actually out of town regardless of method of transportation) since mid December. And Im getting fidgety. I dont know what to do with myself. I drove my sister to the airport yesterday and I almost just left the car and got into her suitcase.

I miss Dubai. I need to go really badly. Im having withdrawal symptoms. I need the za7ma. I need the feeling that I dont have time to scratch my head. I need the non-stop dubai numbers calling me. I need to malls right across the road from the house. I need the comfort that skiing is a short car ride away.

HELP!!!!!!

Ok here we go again. Another mini photo diary to keep you guys entertained since I seem to have run out of interesting topics and conversation to post. Other than I was indirectly forced by blogger to move to beta when I tried signing in today. I didnt even know what I was doing until it was done.



A friends bike in a ditch after a nasty accident. Il7amdila he came out of it with just cuts and bruises and a twisted wrist. Otherwise the bike is gone.

Awain 7arakat mal Seeb Airport. This is supposed to be Santa's Grotto. With huge "Do Not Touch" signs everywhere and a singing santa from the window. Its stupid but I guess they are trying to get into the spirit of Christmas.

ATB in concert. I LOVE him. Besides being hot, his music is amazing and he is the kind of artist that really gets into it and stuff and u can feel the excitement hes feeling while hes mixing. Its contagious. Amazing time I had that night.

I know I know you guys will say "basich with the speedometer pictures" but I cant help it. This a really cool one. Awalan taken while Im driving. With the usual half tank of petrol and the mileage is the best and also the whole point of the picture. 123456.

Who said work is always boring?? This is an example of the kind of things I do at work. My collegues having fun with a large model of a key that we use for the car giveaways. Therefore I have random pics of us trying to keys into the door, the cupboard, ear picking, head scratching and even a pretend "Congrats, heres ur prize" shots. LOL.

. . . thats its January 25th already?? I mean almost a whole month has passed since the beginning of the new year!!! Time flies. I cant beleive it.

I always wonder, how come we sometimes feel that the days pass so fast and other times we feel like time never moves?? Time passes by at the same rate every day. Physchologically, what is the definition of "time flying"??

Sometimes I come up with random thoughts and questions like this.

I used to always wonder about the source of words. For example, "blog". Where did that word come from?? Who invented it. U know like the sandwich. When some dude called Duke Sandwich was so busy playing chess that he didnt wanna leave the game to eat so he asked the maid to put stuff in between 2 peices of bread and the sandwich was invented named after him.

I like knowing useless peices of information like that.

Games Night

Dont you ever get bored of always being outdoors, in cafes and stuff?? I for one do. So tonight a bunch of us decided to have a indoors games night.

Game of choice?? Monopoly.

I heart Monopoly. Especially with a large number of people. We were five today. There is always the player that forgets to charge people rent on their property, the turtle pace player that gets overtaken by everyone twice, the player who has one property of every street and the player that is always ruining it for everyone by spoiling bargains and such.

Might seem boring to you but I had a fun time tonight. Even though looking back I realised this is a really boring post but hey, once a kid always a kid.

An older married man who on countless occasions, Ive seen you walk in with your little son. AND Ive heard you tell him to stop calling u "baba" in front of everybody. Seriously!!!! Who the fuck are u kidding???

So what exactly came across you mind to let u even consider the idea that I might accept your bluetooth request. Especially one where u named your phone by your phone number??? Seriously!!!! And you thought you were so slick by waiting until my cousin left before sending the bluetooth message?? Granted it was my fault. I forgot to switch off my bluetooth after done receiving pictures from my friend but that is NOT an invitation for someone like you to attempt a lame khaleeji style pick up.

Otherwise, how has everyone been?? Ive noticed lately that conversation between me and my friends has mostly been about weddings and engagements. Everyone I know has a brother / sister / cousin / friend who is getting engaged or married. How come its never US?? LOL

Well they say weddings drag weddings, so 3o2bal everyone whos single and looking. Currently Im single but OH SO NOT looking. LOL. So this doesnt apply to me.

Ok ok who am I kidding. Im dying to get married. But Im worried that they might be for the wrong reasons. Actually Im sure that I wanna get married for the wrong reasons, but these reasons are good enough for me.

Blog Template Problems

For some reason my blog template got deleted. Dont ask me why. Thank god for Sleepless in Muscat who was my virtual paper bag to breathe into.

Anyways, maybe that was a hint to change away from my old template. So Im taking suggestions. I hope I get some help

Its Too Cold

Never thought it would be possible to be this cold in Oman. Sleeping in jumpers and with no AC on and a few covers.

But I like it. I love the cold weather. I love the winter wardrobes.

New Years Resolution

Whats the point really?? We all know that we will break them a maximum of one month after we make them. Ive seen people that have told me that one of the resolutions that they made was to quit smoking. This comment was made with an interuption of a cigerette being lit. WTF?? Who are u kidding??

I always promised myself that I will not make a resolution unless it was something that I absolutely was convinced about. Again this year I find myself NOT making any resolutions. I dont beleive in any of those "Im gonna get married" ones since these things are not in our hands. Then again isnt everything not in our hands?? Everything is in the hands of God. We just have to have solid intentions.

Disappointments

I always thought that disappointments only come to people that have high expectations. Basically you expect something that might be too elevated of a standard for others and when they are not able to achieve that standard, you get the "trout" smack on the face.

Therefore, I have pretty much trained myself to always expect the worst in order to never be disappointed. This way I am always on the safe side and I don't expect regular people in my life to treat me a certain way cos they are just not important. This also means that the constant people in my life, have, with time and interaction, raised the bar and have made me get used to a certain level of treatment.

So why do they suddenly act funny and kick in with the mean-ness and two-faced-ness?? Don't they know that I know them too well for them to try something that they have done to OTHER PEOPLE that I know they don't like on me?? I mean come on. Try to be a little more original or discreet. That's a kick below the belt. Totally uncalled for. What have I done that required this kind of treatment in return??

Customer Service My A$$

Im venting. Im allowed to vent, arent I??

WTF??!!! Whats the point of being a good and regular customer who tips well?? If every single time you call for an appointment they ask you for your name and number and who you want to do your hair??!!

Seriously!!! What happened that email joke whatever that the Pizza Hut guy asks the customer if he wants his usual order?? Fair enough, it might not necessarily be the usual, but at least acknowledge that you recognise me!!! Ive been a good and regular customer for at least about 12 years now. WTF??!!!
