A dear friend - someone I grew up with - passed away last June and I wrote about it here. Despite his long term illness, he was very active in the community whether it came to social work, charity or any other kind of activity that brought a smile to people's faces.
He was also a writer. A poet with 3 published books.
There will a recital happening - I heard about it on the Oman Community blog here and thought I would do my part in spreading the news.
